“Follow your passion, and the rewards will come.”
I read and re-read those words, but the practical implication did not register. This is the story of how an average guy followed his passion, and reached his dream.
My love for words and entrepreneurship started when I was a boy. In my eleventh year, my folks gave me the Encyclopedia Britannica and a manual Olivetti typewriter. I was hooked. I created a variety of documents on a wide range of subjects, randomly chosen from the encyclopedia. This passion has remained with me to this day.
I trust that you will find, in these pages, that success is possible when you have a desire for and are focused on that which you do.
The words of Calvin Coolidge express, not only what this book is about, but my personal philosophy about life also: “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
It is my intention to share with you how, by following your passion, it is possible to reach whatever dream you have set for yourself. I hope you will find encouragement in these pages, and that, you too will reach your dream.
