May is over... how far are you with your goals? I read a really great article where the writer compares your life to that of being on a conveyor belt. As you move down the conveyor, you see many doors on the left and right of you, but the conveyor keeps moving you forward. Great article.
Speaking to a colleague this week, he told me how he had just compeleted an exam, and how this boosted his enthusiasm. Although he still a way to go to complete his course, this one success had given him the encouragement to continue easier. I was excited as this concept is discussed in detail in eaziGOAL.
I reached another goal last week, with the re-design of my personal web site. Great feeling!

I read an article in a newspaper this week that stat: "Studies show only 5% of the population reach their potential." This reminded me of my own experiences and observations, and how, with just a little guidance how people can improve their status in life, and go a long way to reaching their full potential. This is the objective with eaziGOAL - to offer that guidance.
"What's New?"

There certainly was excitement in South Africa yesterday, with the FIFA World Cup being awarded to us. Something to look forward to in 2010.
Winter has arrived in South Africa. The mornings and nights are cold; days are still great. But we need the winter, to appreciate the summer - so, we'll get through it.
Thursday night I watched an interview with the winner of a local Entrepreneur of the Month competition. Cindy Norcott was the winner, and she certainly gets my congratulations. Amongst the things she said was that a person should have a passion for what you do. Passion is important, and that is why one of the eaziGOAL chapters discusses this in detail.
"On the Grapevine"
While chatting to a collegue, I learnt that he had read and USED Dr Joseph Murphy's book. Dave told me how he had read the book while he was studying at university. He then used affirmations, and in his final exam obtained the best results he had ever had!
"What's New?"
You will notice there is now a search facility added on the home page. I hope this helps you in finding what you want on this site.
Book reviews added:
The 100 Simple Secrets of Successful People
The Power of Your Subconscious Mind, plus a brief bio on Dr Joseph Murphy.
New articles:
Visualize Your Way to Success
An interesting article from my guest, Maya Talisman Frost
Why You Must Stop Setting Goals

I have decided to give this web log a standard format, with categories. Hope you find this better. If not, let me know.
It is with regret that I heard of the death of a friend. Chris Curwen passed away on 25 April as result of a heart attack. Chris was the chairman of the Institute of Technical Communicators of Southern Africa. He also offered the only technical writing training in South Africa, and his passion was, without a doubt, technical writing. Chris will be missed.
"On the Grapevine"
I have eventually got around to reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad (second attempt). You can read the review this week.
While talking to a friend of mine about a business idea he has. He asked whether I would have a look at a business plan he was in the process of writing. He said that he tends to over-analyze things, and often he does not undertake something because of this. I explained some of the elements that are featured in eaziGOAL in regard to this. This is one of the tools that are available in eaziGOAL. It is always good to plan, but you should know when to stop, and go over to action.
"What's New?"
New articles added this week:
"Abundance Of Money - Abundance Of Love"
"Planning Ahead Of Everyone Else To Win"
New book review added:
Rich Dad, Poor Dad
"Watch This Space"
I have started working on a new e-book, in response to many questions I'm asked. All will be revealed soon :o)

You can find a link to
MP3 Downloads, a great site for getting your kind of music. Music plays a big part in helping with goal setting, and this is discussed in the eaziGOAL manual.
eaziGOAL progress
The eaziGOAL manual is done, and is going for editing next week. The companion software only needs the online help to be added, then that will also be done.
eaziPEARLS should be available next week. You can read about this great tool here. You can also get a free copy.

I discovered that there was a bug with the "Mail Me" link. It has now been fixed, and is working. I do apologize to anyone who tried using this link.
Good news. The first issue of Journal of an Infopreneur is available. You can read about it here, and download your FREE copy.
A friend from Australia asked me the following question, "Busy by the sound of it. When do you get the time to work on all of this stuff?" This made me think... Planning has a lot to do with my being able to get as much done as I done. But sometimes I do get side-tracked when my interest wonders... I also have a great wife who supports me in everything I do.
Thanks to Gavin for the feedback. He shares some interesting thoughts on reading he's doing. Do you have any comments on what Gavin says?
I can appreciate Gavin's choice of his favourite quote, and the eaziGOAL manual has a chapter that discusses the value of questions. This chapter also covers the importance of getting answers to the questions.
eaziGOAL Progress Report: more than half the manual is done, with only small additions to be done on the remaining chapters. The companion software is being tested, and as at time of writing there minimal corrections to be made.

Thought I would drop you a note. First of all, my favourite quote of all time... "It is not the answer which enlightens, but the questions." - Descartes
I have stopped reading fiction for a while, and have decided to read a different type of book, in a different field, an attempt to start forming a bigger picture of the world. In the sphere of self-improvement (rather than purely motivational).
I've decided to read Edward de Bono. Starting with Lateral Thinking. I hope this is the correct introduction to his writing. [Anyone have any comments on this - Ed]. The reason I've decided on de Bono is because he is considered a true "cutting edge" scientist and philosopher of sorts in the field of the mind and thought patterns. His logic seems to explain that master motivators like Robbins, Kehoe, and others are in fact teaching behavioural change and that, while successful, they are touching on an aspect of what makes us tick, but not why or how.
His "thoughts on thought" are considered to be equal to Godel in Mathematics, Einstein in Physics/Relativity, and his admirers think him the most influencial academic of our time. This seemed like a good start in this direction.
Others on my list are: Stephen Hawking, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, and Alvin Toffler.
I am currently busy with Toffler's Third Wave, and it is fascinating. Perspectives that make you look at the world in a different way, equates to a world changing before our eyes. I believe that in most cases, people stick on a subject too long or with too great a focus. My example is people who read Marx. Then to further their knowledge, they read Lenin or Mao.
