I say special thanks to everyone who has given me feedback on this site. It really is appreciated (makes me realize I'm not just writing out into cyberspace).

I was asked an interesting question recently: "What are the differences between dreams and ambitions?" At first I thought I had the answer down cold. But, in character, I firstly began pondering this, and then I began my research.

Let's look at the dictionary definition: "ambition: desire for power, fame, honor, etc.", and "dream: aspiration; very pleasant idea, person or thing."

Now we have something to work with. One's ambition is, I believe, related to material (or monetary) goods, while a dream can be non-materialistic. For example, it is a person's dream to meet and court a certain person. A dream can be to build a kit car.

So, I think with this in mind, we can safely say that one's ambition is materialistic, while a dream, although also possible to be materialistic, can be termed to be holistic.

Also, an ambition and a dream on the same level, in that both need to be turned into a goal - the subject of turning a dream into a goal, in practical steps is discussed in detail in the eaziGOAL system.

eaziGOAL Progress Report: the writing of the manual is progressing very well (quite a job getting everything out of my head and on to paper), and then it will go for editing. The final structure and table of contents has now been determined. The companion software will undergo final testing early next month, and the eaziPEARLS software is done (you can get yourself a free limited version here. Overall, the end is in sight.

You may recall, in early February I mentioned a book I was asked to review, Feeling Your Way Through Life. Well, on Friday afternoon I collected it from my post box, and started reading Friday night. Sunday night about 10:15 I was finished. You can read the review here. I strongly recommend you get yourself a copy of this great book. David's story is, without a doubt, inspiring!

I'd like your opinion please...

I want to include goal setting templates on this site. These are going to be based on real goals from real people. Most of these are from people I've spoken to over the years (and more recently).

I'd like to make this available to you, my valued visitor. Apart from the templates I'll be compiling, you will also be able to mail me your goal, and I will create a template based on your goal. Next week you will be able to see a sample of what the template is going to look like. Remember to check back.

eaziGOAL Progress Report: the writing of the manual is nearing completion, and then it goes for editing. The companion software will undergo final testing early next month, and the eaziPEARLS software is done (you can get yourself a free limited version here. Overall, the end is near.

Talk about the Awesome Power of Setting Goals!

Congratulations Charlize! That's South Africa's own Charlize Theron on winning the Oscar for Best Actress!

Oh, yes, there are the clowns who will, and do say she was lucky. This lady has overcome extreme difficulties, and progressively worked at her goal. Listening to her several radio and TV interviews, she is a person who knows where she is going, AND she has a damn good idea of how she is going to get there. Now that's the power of goal setting!

Thanks to Wayne for submitting his comments. It is appreciated.

Remember people are different. Some people just chew the cud (bovine), others bypass/ignore the negatives/realities (idealist) and others highlight the negatives in a transparent fashion so that they can establish a starting point for a solution. (realist)

Everything is cause and effect. You have to moan in order to facilitate an external and internal release mechanism otherwise we would be skipping through the daisies all day... but it is up to the indvidual to associate the moaning within a positive or negative context.

It was a very busy week - with deadlines for the firm I work for. But, the pressure is now over.

I read an exceptional article this week, by Marcia Wieder (www.marciaw.com). The title of the article is Turning Passion Into Profit. I'd like to share this with you: "Passion is the fire in your belly. It is when you are compelled to action. Passion is the juice that will help you move mountains to accomplish your dreams and goals, personally and professionally." I can highly recommend giving this article a read (I've not yet read her other material, but if the one I did read is anything to go by, then all her material must be exceptional).

I also had the opportunity of trying new software this week. If you are interested in, or considering writing articles, Instant Article Creator is a great little program that can help you create your articles. The software was created by Kristi Sayles, and she also offers a free Article Critique for your first article. You can get full details at www.instantwritersoftware.com.

Work on eaziGOAL was a little slow this week, as result of other deadlines, but I will be getting on with this next week.
