"Working for a boss is really economic slavery designed to keep you permanently in debt". Those are the words in the book, You're The Boss! How to Grow Rich by Working for Yourself by Mike Lipkin and Eric Parker. Having personally been on "both sides of the fench", I can honestly say I prefer the entrepreneur role.
A really great thing about starting your own business on the web is that you don't have the stress and anxiety of needing big bucks, expensive premises, staff, and all the other things that go with starting a brick 'n mortar business. And the really cool thing is that you can start it in your spare time, from the comfort of your own home!
You won't find oodles of references here. The reason for this is that I only recommend companies, services, and products that I have personally used or researched, and found to be of high value.
I am not bound to any company or organization, and if I think something is unrealistic, or is a scam, I will say so.
